When asked how I would support our immigrant community in Annapolis, I plan to continue to be deeply committed to serving every member of our community, including our vibrant immigrant community and population (in Annapolis, primarily, Hispanic and Latino, but many others as well), as we listen, adapt, and act in ways that reflect both respect for the resources available and the unique needs of our community.

To promote the well-being of the immigrant community in Annapolis, I would implement several programs. Despite the uncertain climate with evolving policies, my commitment under a Pindell Charles administration remains strong. I aim to engage all community members, including our vibrant immigrant populations like the Hispanic and Latino communities, by listening, adapting, and respecting their unique needs. Collaboration with local, county, and federal leaders is essential.

My commitment to this community started over 20 years ago. Between 2004 and 2005, I was the Program Manager at the Office of Minority Health in Anne Arundel County, focusing on health initiatives for immigrants. From 2006 to 2021, I worked with Anne Arundel County Public Schools to enhance educational support for immigrant students. As an Alderwoman since 2013, I've represented the largest Hispanic and Latino population in our city and supported over 900 local businesses, many owned by immigrants.

I will continue to advocate for cultural events and programs that celebrate our immigrant communities, fostering unity and understanding. My consistent dedication over the years is encapsulated in the motto: "Annapolis: Spreading the Love." Thank you for allowing me to serve.

My commitment to supporting these vibrant communities has been consistent for over 20 years in this City and County.  Again, I am committed to "Annapolis: Spreading the Love..." throughout all of our communities.
