Today, September 1, 2021, we reflect on the three years since Tornado Ida hit the Parole-area of Annapolis, along its path of destruction. Community, City, State, and International entities came together in support of residents impacted by the tornado.

The above video from WUSA Channel 9 shows then Governor Larry Hogan on a tour of Ward 3/Parole with Ald. Rhonda Pindell Charles the day after Tornado Ida on September 2, 2021. Her leadership, strength, command, and knowledge guided the community through this emergency and crisis situation.

The Tzi Chi Foundation, a Taiwanese international humanitarian and nongovernmental organization whose work includes medical aid, disaster relief, and environmental work, was a major resource for those affected by the tornado.

"To Frank Chen and the Tzi Chi Foundation, we cannot thank you all enough for your overwhelming support of our community in our most critical time of need."
