ELECTION DAYS
Primary Election: Tuesday, September 16
Polls open at 7 am and close at 8 pm
General Election: Tuesday, November 4
KEY ELECTION DATES
Deadline to register to vote: August 18 at 9 pm (at City Hall or online)
Deadline to submit application at City Hall for regular absentee ballot: September 12 at 4:30 pm
Deadline for applications for emergency absentee ballot: September 15 at 8:30 am to September 16 at 8 pm (may be submitted at City Hall)
HOW TO VOTE
Vote by Mail
All City residents who are active registered voters will receive an application to request a mail-in ballot for the Primary Election and for the General Election.
If you choose to vote by mail, it is important to complete your ballot and return it as soon as possible. In order to be counted, mail-in ballots must be postmarked by the US Postal Service, placed in ANY City of Annapolis Elections drop box, or handed in to a polling location by 8:00 p.m. on Election Days. Voting on Election Day
The City of Annapolis will have in-person voting in each Ward from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on Election Days.
Note: There is no early voting for municipal elections.
