Here is a list of activities I have participated in, meetings I have attended, and events I have supported in the month of November 2024:


  • Participated in and Attended the “Honoring Our Legacy. A New Chapter: The Banneker-Douglass-Tubman Museum Renaming Ceremony & Maryland 160th Emancipation Day Reception”

  • Attended (again) the Annual NAACP Banquet, The Double Tree

  • Attended “The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Annapolis Activism” event, Museum of Historic Annapolis (Gave Remarks)

  • As a 3-year Member, attended the “Elizabeth Myers Mitchell Art Museum, Board of Advisors” Meeting

  • Participated (and as a Resource Vendor) in the “Annapolis United” Public Safety Community Giveback 2024” event, American Legion Post #141

  • Attended (again) the “Annapolis Fire Department’s Pinning Ceremony” (perpetual Guest Speaker)

  • Attended the Annual (again) “American Legion Cook-Pinkney Post #141’s Veterans’ Day Ceremony”, World War II Memorial, Annapolis

  • Attended 2 City Council meetings

  • Attended a City Council Closed Session

  • Meeting (along with Ms. Debbie Odum, Ward 3 Community Liaison) with the Founder of “The Betty Center”, Annapolis, which offers all women the opportunity to achieve

    their educational, professional, personal, and social goals

  • Meeting with a resident regarding a possible coastal flood mitigation proposal

  • Chaired the City Council’s Public Safety Standing Committee Meeting

    Attended the City Council’s Transportation Standing Committee meeting, as a Member

  • Meeting with a developer/representative and City Staff regarding property that affects both Ward 2 and Ward 3

  • Meeting with a City staffer concerning a resident’s possible coastal flood mitigation proposal


1st Estuary Team Gala Cruise

1st Estuary Team Gala, at Boarding Vessel at City Dock, with Leader Pastor Joey Tomassoni (Downtown Hope), and Pastor Jerry Colbert, and many friends (and Rhonda)


  • Attended the “Estuary Team Gala”, Cruise, City Dock

  • Attended the Wake of a resident

  • Participated in the “Gardens of Annapolis Residences’ Senior Fraud Prevention Presentation” a senior residences “Senior Fraud Prevention” Presentation by Annapolis Police Department

  • Meeting with the Annapolis Gardens Management Team regarding Thanksgiving donations

  • During Native American Heritage Month, attended a performance and presentation by the Piscataway Nation Singers and Dancers who carry on the long standing traditions, culture and heritage of their Indigenous ancestors, Annapolis Mall

  • Attended the monthly Audit Committee Meeting (Council and Residents members)

  • Attended the monthly Annapolis Transportation Board (ATB) meeting

  • Participated at the Eastport Civic Association’s Annual Board/Meeting: made a

    formal presentation to ECA from the Ward 3 Alderwoman and the Greater Parole Community Association, as represented by Ms. Debbie Odum, Ward 3 Community Liaison, celebrating the upcoming 75th anniversary of the annexation of both Parole and Eastport into the City of Annapolis


Overdose Prevention Team's Interactive Strategic Planning Session on November 20, 2024

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health hosted the in-person "Overdose Prevention Team's Interactive Strategic Planning Session", making sure that all voices are heard and that all organizations are represented in shaping the future of the OPT in Anne Arundel County. The City's representatives are photographed together along with our County's Health Officer Dr. Gedin.


  • Participated in a ½ day in-person “Overdose Prevention Team Interactive Strategic Planning Session/Meeting” hosted by the Anne Arundel County Department of Health with a variety of City, County, State, and private partners

    As a Member, attended (again) the Anne Arundel County, County Executive’s

    “Interfaith Advisory Council” (IFAC), quarterly meeting


Walter S. Mills-Parole Elementary School and Germantown Elementary School Movie and Resource Night - AACPL - on November 20th

Walter S. Mills-Parole ES and Germantown ES, along with the Annapolis Police Department, partnered to bring American Education Family Movie Night to the Anne Arundel County Public Library, Michael E. Busch location.

  • Participated (as a Resource Vendor) at the “Germantown Elementary/Walter S. Mills-Parole Elementary Schools’ American Education Week’s Family Resources and Movie Night”, along with the Annapolis Police Department, Michael E. Busch Library

  • Meeting with the “Hispanic Heritage Month’s Festival Steering Committee”

    Attended the Annual City Council Work Session with Anne Arundel County Public Schools

  • Attended the Annapolis Police Department’s “Operation: Protect Your Home—Free Gun Turn-In” event, at APD

  • Participated in the Annual (again) “My Sistas Keeper” and “My Brothas Keeper” Graduation Cohort Ceremony, Heritage Baptist Church


The “64 Years of Civil Rights History of the Lunch Counter Sit-In in 1964” Event at the Graduate Hotel


  • Participated in the “64 Years of Civil Rights History of the Lunch Counter Sit-In in 1964” event, Graduate Hotel


We Care and Friends hosted 33rd Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

at the Stanton Community Center on November 25th

  • Participated (again) in the “We Care and Friends 33rd Annual Thanksgiving Dinner”, Stanton Community Center (gave Remarks)

  • Luncheon Meeting with a Staffer from the Governor’s Office

  • Meetings (again) with the Mayor’s Office’s Staff, including a United Way staffer regarding a possible formal partnership with the City
