I have been a resident of the Annapolis area for a long time-over 60 years! My
grandfather was a waterman in the 1930's and 1940's. I have met a lot of Annapolitans over the years, yet, only recently I have had the opportunity to meet Rhonda Pindell Charles. Wow! She embodies the vision I'd love to see as we move forward in our capital city.
Rhonda's love of Annapolis, her long family history here and her desire to make Annapolis a stellar place for all families to call home is remarkable. We are at a turning point with the many challenges to life as we know it and Rhonda is not to be deterred. Rhonda shared her life story with the New Annapolitans last year. Her story was quite interesting in that many did not know about "The Other Annapolis" as reflected in Philip L. Brown's 1994 book to which she lived through with her family. Most recently, Rhonda shared her deep resume with the Almost 7:30 Democratic Club breakfast. When she speaks, there's always a new
nugget to learn about her and her love of our town. She is approachable, kind, smart, concerned and a woman of strong faith. I am honored to call her friend. I wish her much success on this journey.
